Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
Rank Networks is a product of Shout Loud Digital LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website at ranknetworks.com and the application at app.ranknetworks.com (together, the "Service"), why we collect it, and what we do with it. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
If you have questions about this Policy or your data, email support@ranknetworks.com.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Account information
When you create an account we collect:
- Your email address and (if provided) your name and profile picture.
- A hashed authentication identifier from our authentication provider - we never see or store your password directly.
- Account preferences you set inside the Service (notification settings, email opt-ins, etc.).
1.2 Sign in with Google
If you choose Sign in with Google to create or access your account, Google sends us a limited set of basic profile information so we can identify you:
- Your Google account email address.
- Your name as it appears on your Google profile.
- Your Google profile picture URL.
- A Google-issued user identifier that lets us recognise you on subsequent sign-ins.
We use this information only to create your Rank Networks account, log you in, and display your name/picture inside the Service. We do not read your Gmail, Calendar, Drive, or any other Google service, and we do not request any Google scopes beyond basic profile + email. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, and we do not use Google user data to serve advertising or to train AI/ML models.
1.3 Business and campaign information
To run a link-building campaign, you give us information about the business you're promoting. This may include:
- Business name, address, phone number, website, and category.
- Google Business Profile data you choose to import (pulled from a public business-information API at your request).
- Target city, state, and niche for the campaign.
- Domains you own, if you connect them.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to provide this information to us - see the Terms of Service for details.
1.4 Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you save a card or complete a purchase, your card details go directly from your browser to Stripe - they are never stored on our servers. We retain only a non-sensitive summary so we can show you which card is on file: card brand, last 4 digits, and expiry month/year. We also keep an internal ledger of your credit purchases, balances, and usage.
1.5 Technical information
When you visit the Service, we automatically receive:
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed, timestamps).
- Error reports if something crashes, so we can fix it.
- Cookies and similar local-storage values needed to keep you logged in.
2. How we use your information
- To run the Service - generate and publish content for your campaigns, charge your credits, send you transactional emails (receipts, campaign-complete summaries, low-balance alerts).
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To support you - respond to questions, debug issues, and improve the product.
- To comply with law - meet tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your campaign data to train any machine-learning model that benefits other customers.
3. Third-party processors
We use carefully selected third-party services to operate the Service. Each one only receives the information it needs to perform its function:
- Payment processor - to accept payments and store cards securely (Stripe).
- Cloud infrastructure & database - to host the Service and store your account data.
- Authentication service - to manage sign-in and sessions.
- Transactional email service - to deliver receipts, alerts, and notifications.
- AI content generation services - to draft the blog and citation copy that powers your campaigns.
- Business-data API - to autofill business details when you import a Google Business Profile.
- Edge security / content delivery network - to keep the Service fast and protect it from abuse.
- Error-monitoring service - to capture crashes and runtime errors.
A current list of named sub-processors is available on request - email support@ranknetworks.com.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies (and equivalent browser-storage values) for things like keeping you signed in and remembering preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you disable cookies your account may not function correctly.
5. Data retention
- Account data and campaign data are retained for as long as your account is active.
- Billing records (purchases, refunds, ledger entries) are retained for at least 7 years after the transaction, as required by tax and accounting law.
- If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal exceptions).
- Withdraw consent or opt out of non-essential emails (you can do this directly in your account settings).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@ranknetworks.comfrom the address on your account.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage at rest, restricted-access infrastructure, and a Stripe-hosted card vault that means we never touch raw card numbers. No online service is 100% secure, but we treat this seriously and have processes to investigate and disclose incidents if they occur.
8. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International users
We process data in regions where our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Service you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in those regions.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
